MENO SUPPORT RECIPES & MEALS

Menopause-Supporting Recipes That Nourish, Balance & Energise 💚🧡

Perimenopause and menopause can leave many women feeling like their bodies have suddenly changed overnight.

Energy dips. Cravings increase. Sleep becomes disrupted. Weight feels harder to manage. Mood swings appear out of nowhere. And often, women are left confused about what they should actually be eating.

The truth is… nutrition during midlife does not need to be restrictive, complicated or miserable.

In fact, some of the most supportive meals for menopause are simple, colourful, protein-rich and full of ingredients that help support blood sugar balance, muscle health, hormones, digestion and energy.

That’s exactly why I’m so passionate about creating realistic recipes that actually fit into real life.

No weird ingredients.

No tiny portions.

No punishment.

No “diet food.”

Just simple meals designed to help you feel stronger, more energised and more supported through midlife.

As a Menopause Practitioner, Clinical Nutritionist and Personal Trainer, I see so many women under-eating protein, skipping meals, living on caffeine and then wondering why they feel exhausted, hungry and overwhelmed by 3pm.

Food can’t “fix” menopause…

but the right nutrition can absolutely help support your body through it.

That’s why each week, I’ll be sharing recipes that focus on things like:

✔️ Protein to support muscle, metabolism, recovery and cravings

✔️ Healthy fats to support hormones and brain health

✔️ Fibre-rich foods to help blood sugar balance and digestion

✔️ Anti-inflammatory ingredients to support joints, energy and overall wellbeing

✔️ Simple meals that feel enjoyable — not restrictive

Whether you’re struggling with energy crashes, feeling hungry all the time, wanting to support fat loss, or simply trying to feel better in your body again… these recipes are designed to help nourish you properly.

And most importantly?

They’re realistic.

Because midlife women do not need more pressure.

They need support, education and practical solutions that actually work in everyday life.

So here are some of my favourite peri & menopause-supporting meals to help you feel fuelled, balanced and back in control 💚🧡

Tangerine Walnut Chicken Salad 🍊

Tangerine Walnut Chicken Salad 🍊

Fresh, colourful and packed with nutrients, this Tangerine Walnut Chicken Salad is the perfect quick meal for busy midlife women who want something supportive, filling and easy to throw together.

One of the biggest mistakes I see in perimenopause and menopause is women under-eating protein and relying on quick convenience foods that leave blood sugar all over the place. Meals like this help support energy, cravings, muscle health and overall hormone balance — without feeling restrictive.

The combination of lean chicken, healthy fats, fibre and fresh ingredients makes this a really balanced option for lunch or a light dinner.

The tangerine adds natural sweetness and vitamin C, walnuts provide healthy omega-3 fats, and the protein from the chicken helps support muscle, recovery and satiety — all hugely important during midlife.

Why This Recipe Supports Midlife Health 💚

Protein for muscle and metabolism

Protein becomes even more important during perimenopause and menopause because declining oestrogen can impact muscle mass, strength and recovery. Including protein with meals helps support muscle maintenance, energy and appetite regulation.

Healthy fats for hormones and brain health

Walnuts provide healthy fats and omega-3s which may help support inflammation, brain health and heart health.

Blood sugar balance

Balanced meals containing protein, fats and fibre can help reduce energy crashes and support steadier blood sugar levels — something many women struggle with during midlife.

Quick, realistic nutrition

Most women do not have time for complicated meals. This recipe is simple, fresh and realistic for busy lifestyles while still supporting overall health and wellbeing.

Because menopause nutrition should feel supportive…

not stressful 💚
